M's birthday was on Friday so my husband was off work and we decided to head to the Aquarium. She was tired for most of it, but she really enjoyed the Reef section.
She had some birthday cake, but our camera battery died so I don't really have pictures of it. We had cake twice. Her first birthday cake experience was actually with some of my husband's cake. His birthday was the day before hers so we had plenty of cake. She didn't really like the frosting and the slime on her hands. We had a little party with some family and friends on Saturday. She was pretty good, but she does so much better with fewer people. She didn't want anything to do with her cake, no big surprise there.
She can walk short distances by herself. She is learning to stand up all alone, but still prefers to crawl over to something to pull herself up. She can say Dad, Dada, and Daddy. She also says Mama. I don't know her height or weight (we are taking her in for her appt. tomorrow.) but I think she is about 20 lbs. She is super skinny, though. She has the most beautiful eyes.
I can't believe how much she's grown.
