Fewer and Farther Between

Well, I suppose I can't just give up blogging all together... especially when M is being so cute. I don't want to forget some of the things she's been saying. Here you go...

The other night we had been playing and tickling and just having some fun. We were all in a bit of a silly mood. So we were trying to get M settled down for bed and we started reading stories. Some of her books aren't very cute (story-wise) I make up my own version. One in particular is about a farmer's day. It's a cute book but not very interesting for M right now. So we go through the book and name each animal and say what sound it makes. We've done it several times and she knows the books. We got to the end and there is a dog. I asked her what it was and she hesitated then said, "eep" (sheep). I said, "That's not a sheep!" and she just busted up laughing. I think she just told her first joke...

She recently acquired a couple of little bags with Tinkerbell on them. I said, "This is Tinkerbell. Can you say Tinkerbell?" She said, "Tinkerbum," and wouldn't say it differently.

Her vocabulary is exploding. She suddenly started actually trying to say words instead of just saying "ah-ha" for any new word. She does pretty well too. It's been a lot of fun to listen to her come up with her own version of words.

She is all girl. She spotted my fingernail polish and kept asking to have her toenails painted. She also insisted that I have mine painted to match. She carries three chap sticks around with her almost all the time. She has "green chap stick," "pink chap stick," and "Burt's Bees chap stick". I love the Burt's Bees. She will mix it up and say, "Bee Burt's" or something.

She recently turned 2 and we had a duck cake. It was nothing fancy, just a sheet cake with blue frosting and a duck on top. She loved the duck. She now has 4 ducks. They are named, Mommy Duck, Daddy Duck, Emily Duck, and Baby Duck. Mommy and Daddy Duck are the smallest, Emily Duck is a big pink duck, and Baby Duck is the biggest of all the ducks. He is yellow.

That's all I can think of for now. I don't really have any new pictures on this computer. I'll probably blog sporadically when I have access with my computer. I just have a really hard time doing it on my phone.
