Siberian Iceberg

Does anyone remember that move, "So I Married an Axe Murder"? I remember one of my sisters calling it Siberian Iceberg because someone misheard the title and called it that. Ever since I heard the alternate title I've called it that because it was a funny story. Do you remember the kid on the movie with the big "heed" (head)? Well, at M's 6 month check, I've learned that this is to be her fate. Her head size was off the charts, and not by just a little bit. It was way off the charts. Hopefully that means she'll be smart, but I can't forget that kid on the movie. Otherwise, she was relatively normal. She is already 27" tall (which puts her in the 97%) and weighs 15.13 lbs (50%). Tall and skinny with a huge noggin. She is too tall for all of her 6-9 mo. PJs and her feet don't fit in the footie part either. Yeah I just bought her new jammies and she is already grown out of them. Such is the way with kids, eh?

In other news (about M), her little tooth that I swore was coming in 2 months ago, finally broke through on Saturday(feb 21). It is on the bottom right side and sure sharp. In my defense, it did come in in the exact same spot where I had been noticing that little white bump 2 months ago. I am glad I'm not nursing anymore! My fingers are already getting sore from her chewing on them all of the time. The sad part is that I haven't noticed increased drooling. She has been drooling about this bad for the last 3 months at least. I always have a bib on her and we go through about 3/day (and she still manages to soak through to her outfit). If I didn't take the bib route, she would be wearing about 12 different outfits a day and I don't want to do that much laundry!

She also loves to talk. She says "da da dat" and a few "mamama" when she is upset. She loves it when I say "bababa". My brother called her "a tender little thing" which she is. She gets scared pretty easily and usually cries when other babies are crying. (Good thing she wasn't a twin!) She doesn't like to be around a lot of people (kind of like her mom & dad...) and gets worried and upset when it is too noisy.

I've been helping my hubby out by teaching the First Aid Merit Badge. The kids are all pretty good and seem interested in what I have to say. I don't mind it other than it takes up my evening on Wednesdays which are already long because I work.

Well, that's all I have to say for now. I never know how to end these thing. I feel like I should say something profound... Hmmm.... Here is a video of M doing one of her new favorite things.

That video is super cute! Makes me feel like I could actually pick her out in a crowd, despite not having seen her in months.
