I apparently lied when I said we were going to have the ultrasound on July 1. Something came up with my husband's work that same morning and he asked if I could switch the appointment to the afternoon. So... I called and it turns out the office only does them on Thursday mornings. Problem. I was already delaying it until 22 weeks because of some other work obligations and of course, we both wanted him to be there. I told the lady that was scheduling the whole affair that I didn't want to delay any longer. To which she answered that I
shouldn't delay any longer because if the baby gets to big they have a hard time seeing anything. Great. So I asked her what I should do. She was fairly unhelpful, saying she thought I should just go to the appointment we had already set. I had a whole 2 week block (between 19 & 20 weeks) when he physically couldn't make it. The catch was they (at the office) wouldn't let me go before 20 weeks.
What?? We found out with M at 17 weeks.
So, I asked her if I could just do it at the hospital. After a few minutes on hold she said that was fine and gave me the number.
I called to schedule and the lady said to come between 19 and 20 weeks and I told her my dilemma about that and why I was scheduling at the hospital. So she said, why not do it this week? OKAY! I was bouncing up and down (almost literally). So... We scheduled it for yesterday and my husband got off a little early.
Long story short, the baby is healthy and it is..... a BOY! I have to admit I was a little shocked (but shouldn't have been). I thought the whole time it was a girl... then again we thought M was a boy. My hubby said he was literally 50/50 on this and had no clue. We're both really excited and I'm glad to finally be planning things.
Unfortunately I can't get the CD with the pictures to load on my crap-top, so y'all will have to deal without the semi-grainy, black and white pictures of the boy. For now, anyway...

Hooray for boys! Congratulations! How fun to get to find out early. Glad it all worked out. Definitely something the dad can't miss!
Boys are so fun and it's exciting that now you have one of each! M will be a great big sister.
